Group Chief Executive Officer

Jaber Al Ansari is the Group Chief Executive Officer, ELAN Group. He has many years of experience working at an executive level across the entertainment and advertising industry and has been instrumental in the diversification and expansion of ELAN Group, including leading the transformation of ELAN Group, from a specialized media sales company to become a dynamic and innovative company delivering world-class experiences in media, entertainment, events and city beautification.

Al Ansari has risen through the ranks of ELAN Group, working in marketing, advertising, film, media, meetings and events. He held executive level positions across the company and oversaw and led some of the most important strategic initiatives, joint ventures and acquisitions in the company’s history. He has established partnerships with some of the biggest names in the MICE industry such as Fira Barcelona and MCI International, as well as the acquisitions of Gulf Film, one of the largest film distribution and exhibition companies in the Middle East, and Novo Cinemas, the largest cinema chain in the Middle East.

Prior to this Al Ansari gained over six years of experience in property development and investment at Qatari Diar, a global leader in real estate. Before moving to ELAN Group, Jaber was General Manager for Qatari Diar-Tunis.

Al Ansari has a degree in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing and Management, from the American University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

Ibrahim Mohamed Hassan

Ibrahim Mohamed Hassan

Managing Director

Ibrahim Mohamed Hassan is the Managing Director of ELAN Group, bringing a visionary leadership and deep expertise in finance, investment, and banking. A Board member since 2018, he has been pivotal in driving ELAN’s strategic transformation and sustained growth. Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed Hassan is an accomplished leader who has consistently demonstrated strategic foresight and a commitment to growth.

He also holds the position of Executive Director of Finance (CFO) at Qatar Development Bank (QDB), where he plays a critical role in steering the bank’s financial strategy and planning.

Mr. Ibrahim began his career with Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) and joined QDB in 2010, where he held several senior leadership roles and advanced through key positions. In 2017, he was appointed Executive Director of Investment, leading QDB’s venture capital arm as well as its subsidiaries, which included multiple companies including Elan. During his tenure, he successfully streamlined and improved operational efficiency. Under his guidance, the bank expanded its support for start-ups and high-growth ventures, delivering capital, mentorship, and strategic backing to help them scale globally. In 2020, he also assumed the role of Executive Director of Finance (CFO) in addition, where he continues to drive financial excellence. As CFO, Mr. Ibrahim now manages the bank’s entire investment portfolio, including Treasury and all other asset classes.

With over a decade of executive experience, Mr. Ibrahim is recognized for his sharp financial acumen and deep expertise in direct lending, corporate finance, and investment management. His career is defined not only by leadership but by a clear commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and building a resilient, future-ready financial ecosystem.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar and is a proud member of the CFA Institute. Mr. Ibrahim’s journey reflects a rare blend of strategic foresight, integrity, and an unwavering dedication to advancing Qatar’s economic vision.

Bill Fordyce

Bill Fordyce

Chief Operating Officer – ELAN Media

Over the past 15 years, Bill has cemented his reputation as one of the leading advertising experts in the Middle East.

With a MBA in Global Finance, Bill is the Chief Operating Officer of Elan Media in Doha, Qatar. Prior to joining Elan Media, he was the CEO of BackLite Media in Dubai and Vice President of Business Development for DXB Entertainments; the owner of Dubai Parks and Resorts, the Middle East’s largest integrated theme park destination. In addition, he played a key role in the launch of Ain Dubai and the Coca-cola Dubai Arena, and various other Dubai Holding/ Meraas entertainment projects.

He was also the Chief Operating Officer of HyperMedia and Rotana Media Services Outdoor for nine years, one of the leading media companies in the Middle East.

Up until 2008, Bill was the Director of Business Development for News Outdoor Group based in Moscow, Russia which was the fifth largest OOH advertising company in the world.

Bill has worked on advertising projects in more than 35 countries across the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, South Asia, the former Soviet Union and Western Europe.

Khalid Al Muraikhi

Khalid Al Muraikhi

Chief Support Officer of ELAN Group

Khalid Al Muraikhi is the Chief Support Officer of ELAN Group, a dynamic and innovative company delivering world-class experiences in media, entertainment, events and city beautification.

Al Muraikhi is an expert procurement professional with over 15 years of experience. His knowledge base encompasses procurement, administration, procurement system development, planning, budget management, sustainability, and policy development.

His professional experience in the administration field started at Qatar Petroleum, and then was further developed at the Commercial Bank where he occupied various administrative positions.

In 2012, Khalid joined ELAN’s Procurement Department to become the Procurement Director before being rapidly promoted to the Group Chief Support Officer, which oversees the HR, Administration, IT and Government relations departments. Since assuming his role with ELAN Group, Khalid Al Muraikhi has accomplished various achievements—from the establishment of the procurement department and shaping the Group’s procurement policies and system to leading the revamp of the procurement department of Novo Cinemas, the regional cinema chain.

Al Muraikhi holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, specializing in Project Management. and has completed various professional and intensive courses, including an Advanced Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Strategic Procurement, and Bid & Tender Management.

Hesham Hassanein

Hesham Hassanein

Group Chief Financial Officer

A veteran financial expert, with more than 20 years of experience, Hesham Hassanein has served as the Group’s Chief Financial Officer in Elan for more than 11 years.

In this role, Hesham Hassanein has spearheaded the development and implementation of the group’s financial strategy, overseeing the company’s financial planning, budgeting, financing, treasury and investor relations activities, and the development of ELAN’s compliance policies, and financial procedures.

Hesham Hassanein came to ELAN from Qatarlyst the trading name of Qatar Insurance services fully owned subsidiary of Qatar Financial Centre, where he was Group Financial Controller, responsible for managing the group finance function for the MENA region and the UK, including strategic financial management; reporting; forecasting; and corporate governance.

Additionally, he led the finance dept at Investment House fully owned subsidiary of QIPCO group as Finance manager.

Prior to this, Hesham Hassanein worked as a Financial Manager and Analyst across several sectors including retail, technology and FMCG in multinational companies; a highlight of which was establishing the Finance function of the Al Meera group.

He has a Degree in Commerce from Cairo University and a CPA in Finance from the California Board of Accountancy.

He is a fellow at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
